Iron Wok

First time use / Before you use it:

Step 1: Use dish soap and scrub to clean your new wok and remove factory oil.

Step 2: Dry the wok with heat and wiping away excess water with a paper towel.

Step 3: Add cooking oil into the wok and spread it evenly with a paper towel.

Step 4: Heat it up until the oil reached smoking point.

Step 5: Clean away that layer of oil with dish soap and water.

These steps should repeated several times until the paper towel becomes clean and there is no dirty(black) oil on it.

Now, we are going to create the non-stick layer for your iron wok:

Step 6: Dry the wok with heat and wiping away excess water with a paper towel.

Step 7: Add cooking oil into the wok and spread it evenly with a paper towel.

Step 8: Heat it up until the oil reached smoking point.

Step 9: Clean away that layer of oil with water.

These steps should repeated several times until you see the layer of coating on the wok and it’s done!

Tips: It is better, more effective to do these steps on fire stove.

How to use an iron wok:

Iron wok is not for cooking soup, stew or deep fry, it is perfect to use for stir-fry foods!

How to take care of an iron wok:

  • For the first dish using an iron wok, we suggest to start with stir-fried greens. Tomatoes or acidic foods will affect the non-stick coating you have built up with hard work, so it is recommended not to stir-fry acidic ingredients at the beginning.
  • Each time when after using the iron wok, dry the wok with heat and wiping away excess water with a paper towel, add cooking oil into the wok and spread it evenly with a paper towel to prevent rusty.

Clay pot / Casserole pot

First time use / Before you use it:

Step 1: Use the soft side of the sponge, clean gently with natural soap or baking soda, and check if there's any cracks or damage.

Step 2: Make sure the bottom surface is completely dry.

Step 3: Cook rice water directly on fire stove, start with minimum heat for 5 minutes, then gradually increase up to medium-low until the water is boiled.

Step 4: Turn off the heat, wait for the pot to cool down, and then wash it with clean water, done!

This way can make your clay pot / casserole pot use a longer time.

How to use a clay pot / Casserole pot:

  • Used for cooking directly on stovetops, do not use it on an induction cooker. 
  • Make sure the bottom surface is completely dry, always start with small/medium heat first.
  • Don't heat up without food or liquid inside.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes! Do not add cold water when the pot is still hot, please add warm or hot water, otherwise the clay pot will crack!
  • Once it's boiling, lower the heat to keep cooking.

How to take care of a clay pot / Casserole pot:

  • Wash it carefully with natural soap or baking soda.
  • Use the soft side of the sponge to wash it.
  • Handle lightly/gently with care.

Bamboo steamer

First time use / Before you use it:

Step 1: Use the dish sponge, clean it gently in warm water.

Step 2: Soak the bamboo steamer in the warm salt water for 10 mins.

Step 3: Clean with water and placed flat and let it natural air drying.

How to take care of bamboo steamer:

  • Wash it carefully with water or natural soap or baking soda.
  • After each use, the steamer bottom must be placed flat to prevent the steamer from deforming.
  • Do not store the steamer in a humid environment.
